Quiet week while we wait for the three inspections.
Passed the plumbing inspection, however the inspector
failed his driving test and chewed up our driveway in his truck
on leaving. Ouch.
June 6
Took this photo while on my morning walkabout.
Hope to get the electrical inspection tomorrow and
get work resumed.
June 15
Inspections passed. Work recommences.
The stucco crew is almost finished applying the vapor layer and lath.
Inside the new kitchen the insulation is ready to be added.
June 17
The insulation is installed and awaits the next inspection before the drywall can be installed.
The circuit breaker box which is behind where the washer and dryer will reside
had to be relocated to the outside of the wall. Robert, the electrical genius managed to
get all the wires back in the right place and everything seems to work as before.
The power was off from about 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. NO COMPUTERS!!!

Phase one of the dry wall is complete. Next the metal corner strips, the taping and the joint compound.

Kelly and Drew are off playing golf! Vicente’s stucco crew did a really
excellent job applying the second coat of stucco including under the deck.
